That’s fine, but I was looking forward to a device that could set a wireless rednet without limit of distance, maybe with channels, that could intercommunicate computers AND turtles. THAT would be awesomeness! Not saying that this isn’t, though… Let’s make burses and burse displays! This could be on Wall Street!

For one, Turtles can’t equip Flint and Steel, they do emit redstone signal though. Secondly, Turtles can’t move blocks. Camera’s would most likely be implimitted as an api by some modder, and I believe they can only be blocks.

Just like a video or a picture or two to get people excited about what youve got to say. In my opinion, it would make your blog come to life a little bit.

dan200 should really add individual pixel and color control, guess what it means: no more only text that means 3d games, common i am a programmer and i saw a vid about 3d games in java without game engine, it worked
so guy of skyrim i hope for you this will work it will not be HD of cource because each block is 16×16 so that means a huge screen but if this will be added i will try to make mario :p

I have never heard of a mod developer ever heeding an all caps post demanding they hurry up and release something. I have no relation to dan200 but I can soundly say when cc1.31 will be released.
API is short for Application Programming Interface. It’s simply a number of functions to make use of some ready made functionallity. Usually the documentation of an API is also refered to as an API. Check wikipedia for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/API.

Think about it in mathematical terms – 1.31 is logically the next minor release up.

Nah – computers will remain unchanged. These monitors can be addressed independently, and you can’t control the computer with just the monitor.

I think it’s taking so long cause Dan is making a graphics API. It would make use of the existing color API. And btw what does API stand for?
I just realized something. Both the color and perephial APIs didn’t have a use till now so I think Dan has been building up to some features.
They do have a use, one is used to compile bundled cable signals (nothing to do with displaying colors) and the other’s just not documented.

You really need to add bitmapping, coloring and mouse support for computer craft. That way we can do some hardcore graphics stuff.

there is a program that converts noteblock format(from some other minecraft music makeing thing) into a computercraft readable text file that a computer rigged to a bunch of noteblocks could use to play back music.
