This will work really well with powercraft. Using the automatic workbench you can make the turtle craft items!
They could craft more turtles, that go mine for materials to craft even more turtles. Lets just hope they don’t grow selfaware 🙂

Then I could make a turtle build a redpower2 frame motor machine !
placing covers and panels will be nigh on impossible. Think about it: How will the turtle know which orientation to place the panel? And will it be able to tell that it needs to place it in front of the frame or in the frame?
I’m in the beta of CC 1.4 and I’ve tested frames, panels and covers. It’s kinda hard to make the turtle place the panels and covers right, but with frames they work fine.
I had an idea which would only require a few exception lines in the code. I thought what if you could get a special mining turtle, crafted with a silk touch enchanted pick axe. So a mining turtle which could obtain stuff that silk touch allows you to obtain like ice for example!
It’s looking really cool with the items though! Really can’t wait till 1.4 comes out!!!

Yep, anything with an inventory 🙂 I’ve already built an automated ore smelting setup.

Wouldn’t be better not to craft turtle with sword, pickaxe etc but make them able to use items in their inventory? They will be then able to mine wood and get wool etc.
And they can be also able to use enchanted tools…
