ComputerCraft requires Minecraft 1.4.2 and at least version 332 of Minecraft Forge. Once forge is installed, drop ComputerCraft1.46.zip into your /mods/ directory, and launch the game.
New Features:
- Ported to Minecraft 1.4.2
- ComputerCraft items now have their own tab in Creative Mode
That was easy.
That’s great! Now I can have all of the new features!
Nice work! Super fast.
once again a realy fast update thanks dan i realy like it
Dang, that was super fast. Great job!
Really glad it went quickly, this mod is in my top 3 favorite! Awesome mod!
HAYO! I didn’t even need to wait because when I woke up CC and MC were in the 1.4 era!
For 1.3.2 CC I was able to install it easy, now it is stuck on Done Loading, I installed 337(Because the reccomended is only 323) and installed ComputerCraft 1.46 to the mods directory(I extracted there), Did I do something wrong?
Try deleting all of your mods (not Minecraft Forge) including Computercraft then install computercraft again.
Also, make sure you extract all the files into a folder named ComputerCraft
i got the same thing! it freezes at the update screen. i have tried a few things and it doesn’t work. i don’t have any other mods. just cc but it will not do it
it either ——————–freezes on update screen
\__________doesn’t load fml
oh well, i guess i will be reverting back to 1.3 until it can be installed
You don’t extract you just drag the zip in
I am a basic reader at error logs, and I can tell you that for Macs, making CC a zip breaks CCTurtle, but not if its a folder.
Anyways, error log:
(My Forge version is whatever the latest of Forge is)

I couldn’t get CC to work the first time I tried either, then I downgraded to forge 332 and it worked fine
Hey, i really want to try out that but i cant reach the forge website o.O am i the only one with that problem?!
It seems that CC 1.46 crashes if used with Forge 337 and Railcraft. But I installed Railcraft first and it worked fine, so I think CC is causing the crash (NullPointerException).
Will post the log if you want.
It’s a block/item ID collision probably. Forge now seems to throw null pointer exceptions instead of the normal errors you get when you try to double assign an ID with two blocks. One step towards easier modding and one step away, hopefully it will be replaced with a more user friendly error soon.
WOW! only like 2 days? my favourate mod has updated
So do i need to install forge but not modloader i am so confused
Don’t worry i had the wrong version of forge hopefully this will work
You don’t need modloader. In fact, forge often goes wrong if you try to install modloader on top of it. Most modloader mods work perfectly fine if you just have forge installed, even if their authors say modloader is needed.
Thanks dan!
minecraft forge will not work come on
i get the done loading screen too… can i get a minecraft.jar with computercraft on it maybe?
http://files.minecraftforge.net/
Finally got it to work thanks to the comments.
Using Forge 6.0.1.339, and extracted ComputerCraft1.46.zip to /mods/ComputerCraft
For some reason, leaving them in the .zip in /mods/ was causing it to craft upon loading CCTurtle.
Thanks again, everyone! And thanks again, dan200, for your fantastic work!
I think the link is broken.
doesn’t run properly! it freezes at the done loading/updating screen when the mod runs. such a shame for such a great mod

hope that got your attention. (sorry for spamming the thread)
when i make a program with term.setBackgroundColor api in it the program only shows me only the text, instead of background color + text (i used the advanced computer) .
it’s a test program so its nothing then:
set.BackgroundColor(colors.blue)
print “test”
term.setBackgroundColour(colours.blue)
print(“test”)
(( You don’t have to use ‘colour’, ‘color’ will work fine. ))
Dang, the link isn’t working, whenever I click skip ad it won’t come up,it says “This webpage is not available” I think it’s because I’m using a hotspot since my mom can’t afford internet
minecraft freeze when it shows done loading how to fix it???????
computer craft isnt even loading for me all im using forge version 350
Sorry still freezing please fix it please please………
This is my first time installing forge. I have opened the .zip, put all the files in my minecraft.jar extracted folder, and it freezes on done loading with about 5% left to load on the bar.
Did you delete META-INF?
What about adjustable screen-sizes?
Help! When I try connecting a modem to a computer by placing it on the side it won’t let me! It just takes me to the computer interface!
WHAT DO I DO????
Hold shift; then click.
for the next update, you should add placeable keyboards that let you interact with the monitors. also, you should add cables for connecting peripherals to computers. thanks for such an epic mod, dan200!
hold shift when placing it. it will not enter the computers gui then

A previously-installed mod has a block with id 207, and ComputerCraft wants to use 207. Change one of them in their respective config files or download a conflict auto-resolver mod.
Dan and Cloudy, you guys rule. This is (one of the) best mods ever!
Please keep working on this for (eternity to the power infinity).
Installation is quite easy for me to be honest, don’t know why people have problems.
The link doesn’t work :S
I installed Forge 349 with MCPatcher, and I can’t load ComputerCraft. Do I have to use something else to manually put it into minecraft.jar?
Here’s my crash:
