I got the idea from this forum (such as here), using an Ender Chest in a slot in the turtle's inventory to remotely move things in and out while the turtle is on-task. It's a great idea. However, when I execute turtle.digUp() to collect my Ender Chest, I just get 8 obsidian in return instead of an Ender Chest. How are people using Ender Chests effectively if the turtle uses a regular diamond pickaxe and not one with silk touch? Do people carry a full stack of Ender Chests or am I missing something? Thanks for the advice.

Split into new topic.
They're not using the vanilla ender chests; they're using chests from the mod of the same name. Turtles cannot interact with vanilla ender chests, as they are not players.

Wow, okay. Thanks. I'll have to rewrite a few programs now and do it the hard/old way!
