My suggestion is somthing that would work similar to this

but instead of only being able to choose 1 slot for inserting objects you get the option of putting many items in diffrent slots.

for example i have a certian way i like to keep my items (in order in the chest not all over) so you can choose either which side you want the itmes to go or you can insert items in certian chest slots.

This way you can always make sure each item stays in the slot you want.

There are peripherals to do that, and technically turtles can already do it by inserting into a specific side or using a second chest to throw items around

the inventory turtle from misc peripherals mod can do just that...and it can (i think) output straight to BC pipes

What if you had a "station" where a turtle would come and use hoppers to put stuff in certain places and pipes pumping useless things out?
