Hey guys,

Set up a nifty zombie pigman farm today, and was using the anvil xp turtle to repair the golden swords they dropped so that I could smelt them for more gold ingots. However, after a few hours the anvil portion of the turtle broke, ie, the anvil was no longer attached to the turtle, was left with a plain ol'xp turtle. Is this a bug or is it working as intended? I know the normal vanilla anvils wear out after so many hits, but thought it would be different with the turtles (those diamond swords the melee turtles have seem to last forever....)

Thanks for any and all help!

I would assume they do run out. if you label your turtle you can pick it up and keep all the programs and fuel level. then just craft it with another anvil module or however its crafted.

Don't get used to that, they wont always last forever, the devs are working on making them run out. Side note: did you know that if you have RP2 installed you can use the gem tools on turtles for a cheaper turtle. only downside is it cannot mine obsidian.

This is awful... That means they would not stack and that would ruin my swarm program T_T

I thought that's the feature - turtles are last forever, but you have to use diamond tools on them, and not any other tools.

Isnt that Misc Peripherals that does that?

Well I can see computercraft become more compatible with other mods. I can see turtles using nano sabers and they won't break but take more power to run

iirc MiscPeripherals already adds this.

But there is no mining drill turtle... ~_~
And I'm not sure if that would solve the issue with stacking.
*sighs*

What's the point of mining drill turtle for now?

Actually, that might be nice, since drill doesn't require diamonds... But it shouldn't mine obsidian then, so that's like gem-pickaxe-turtles from miscPeripherals...
