The forums screwed up the title.

Dan and Minecraft.edu worked together to create this mod, that applies quantum physics to Minecraft.

Official site: http://qcraft.org/

Most of the people here probably already know about it, because it's on http://www.computercraft.info/ the newest blog entry.

Well, considering this is quantum physics in Minecraft I would expect it has a lot to do with it.

The mod is meant to teach people the concepts behind quantum physics. In the case of vanishing staircases, the purpose is to teach that a particle can have more than just a single state (superposition). So although it is air when you first glance at the block, the principles of quantum uncertainty allows the block to "morph" (not really, but in our perception) into the form of whatever other states are possible for that particular block.

Or at least, that's what I believe the purpose of vanishing staircases is ;)

Just FYI this mod was created in co-operation with Google, not minecraft.edu (as far as I know).

It will be fun, hopefully there will be more uses to it than just booby traps ;)

Hey guys, I just watched dire's latest video on qcraft, and I have to say, mind.blown() == true! IMO, I think it should be linked with CC.
What are your thoughts on dan's new mod?
