The server is back up, but it is running on a different IP as I have installed a new router.

The only thing that has changed is the version of ComputerCraft that I am running on the server: 1.63. So, if you've got the latest version of CC, feel free to hop on in.

In light of the CCU movements, it might be worth mentioning, although I thought it obvious, that you're absolutely welcome to ask anyone on the server for help or for a lesson on anything we know about. Ask away! :)

NOTE: Turtles are banned.

Server Rules:

Don't be a delinquent.

No rednet spamming.

No griefing of plots or programs.

Server Information:
  • IP Address: 24.18.112.231:25565
  • Not in the plotworld? Type: /mv tp plotworld
  • Not in creative? Type: /g
  • Other problems? Talk to me or other staff online. You can send me mail ingame with /mail or pm me on the forums.
  • THE SERVER IS NOT 24/7. EXPECT DOWNTIME.

I will join, is all I need is ComputerCraft? My IGN is ClaudeOrFido, so look out for me.
EDIT: I joined, I was in survival so I gathered iron out of the nearby cave, Didn't build shelter yet though. Thanks for being on peaceful, as when I joined, it was sundown.

Looks good, I'll try to get on next week or so, btw you might want to put no malicious programs in the rules ;).

So, I joined and I spawned in a bedrock box, with survival, not sure if this is what's intended.

You're supposed to turn behind you and go into the portal. I had trouble with the portal, not sure if you did.

I did, the portal did nothing, and was probably griefed due to the spawn not being protected.

Edit: Did not see the edit in OP, /mvtp plotworld and /g did the trick :D

Pure CC servers are rare. Looks like I'll take a look at this one.

How about this for another rule:

No editing programs on other people's computers without permission.
Also, how about password protection in the rom folder?

That's too specific imo and just falls under, "don't be a delinquent" (stated in the OP). It's like saying no hacking the server using tools online; Its pretty much a given.

How unlucky, this was the first long down time I've seen since I started on this server, sorry for your experience, but I can assure you that you won't be disappointed with it once it does come back up.

Once I finish setting up my computer again, I'll probably try to come online. CC 1.57 or 1.58?

Very true. I don't really like people that use this forum just to promote their FTB Unleashed server even more. I like to have a break from the "heavy" mods like IC2 and just use CC every so often.

Is there any chance of Open Peripherals getting added? It goes well with CC and vanilla :P

We are currently running CC 1.58 for MC 1.6.4.

I personally doubt that Open Peripherals are going to be added as there is already lag as it is and the server isn't really oriented towards using CC for MC (such as Turtles, Redstone, Monitors, etc.), but rather using CC for CC (Programs, APIs, etc.)

Would it be possible to boost up the rednet range?
I mean, since we're in creative, it would just be the same as building repeaters everywhere.

I believe the range was boosted a little while ago, but I'm not quite sure to what extent.

Yes. The rednet range was boosted to some very large value. You shouldn't really have to worry about repeaters right now.

Happy to hear that :D
Although maybe it needs a reboot or it was misconfigured, but I am still not be able to receive any messages from more than the default range (384)
