-Textures Forum

And i got some random suggestions too:

-Chat (will be cool a place to talk with other users.)
-Desktop Notifications Support(it will be cool too, when anyone post in your topic a desktop notification pop-up)

What do you mean by a map?
I believe Media is used for textures?
There's PM if you want to private chat to people, otherwise just make a topic to talk about it.
A desktop app is something I looked in to also, but you could also use email notifications.

Use the Media forum.

As oeed stated there are the 'Private Messages' facilities, there's the General forum to make a topic in, and also there is the ComputerCraft IRC channel.

Browsers (and internet technologies) as of yet don't support desktop notifications without plugins; well that I've seen anyway.

But in the chat you can find new people.
About Desktop Notifications i've already seen a lot of sites that use desktop notifications without plugins

And about the forums a map and textures forums will be more "organizated"

I don't see it happening any time soon in the near future.

The Media section would be the correct place to post maps and textures. Check out the IRC for a place to chat with other ComputerCraft users. Desktop notifications are infeasible unless the forum supports email notifications. I can't recall if it does or not.

They do, there's the HTML5 Notifications API. http://www.dangercov...-notifications/
The issue here is that I believe it requires the page to be open. The main issue, however, is IP.Board support, as we can't change the code I doubt it would be possible to add notifications even if we could.

There's also Push Notifications, but thats only for Safari. https://developer.ap...ifications.html

All extremely browser specific! Which is where the problem lies with doing something like this.

I believe IP.Board does support email notifications if you enable it in your settings for when someone replies to one of your followed topics, but I'm not sure. Then get some email software and tell it to ring up a notification when you get an email from IP.Board, ComputerCraft, or whatever they go by when they email you.
