Just a suggestion, perhaps it would be wise to have a sticky somewhere, be it in general or ask a pro (just because that's where people ask) that tells where to find an emulator. It seems like that is a commonly asked question. Perhaps you could have each current developer have a short post describing their emulator and a link to the full post. Just a thought.

This is a "must-have". As you mentioned, A LOT of people asks where to find emulators, which are working, and we kinda need to turn down all that spamming.

IMO This would be a great idea!

This was discussed on IRC, and I believe it was Lyqyd who stated that this would probably not happen. Correct me if I'm wrong.

We'll see. I don't add sticky posts lightly. If it continues to be a nuisance, I might do so, but I don't think it will become necessary.

I agree with Csstform. It was something I was thinking of asking myself.

One of the biggest issues is keeping it up to date. If the same post was made a year ago, or even 6 months ago, barely any of the emulators would work/have valid links.

People just need to learn to search.

Yeah, But I'm sure Gamax and other people who have their emulators posted here will keep the links up with working emulators ( except tomass1996 & afterlifelochie currently :P )
I will keep my links up of the working version of CC-Emu if tomass1996 allows it, Since it's my favorite emulator :)
And it bothers me that people doesn't search before posting.. I mean it's in the upper right corner :P
Edit: Yay! :D

Or maybe we could have a massive popup whenever someone with less than 10 posts starts a thread that shows topics with similar titles and content :P

That's users with less than 3 i think, and they still can in Ask a Pro, which is where this is asked all the time anyways.

Apemanzilla: Everyone should have that, just not in a big intrusive window.

Maybe it's a toggleable option, but locked on until you have a certain post count.

Apemanzilla: just because someone has x posts, doesn't mean that they've learned to search.
