Hi,

I have a set up in my base and I would lie to automate the turning-on of my reactor if my resonant energy cell gets too low.

I have looked online and I cannot find any help. I am wondering if someone can either direct me to a code already created or can tell me what to write in the computer (I cannot code in Lua to save my life, so baby steps will have to be used  )

Here is a picture of my set-upPosted Image if you would like to use it for a reference.

Many thanks for the help,

Andy Stanton (andystan1912)

To write such a thing, I guess you'd want to start off with this tutorial, then read up on the Reactor Computer Port.

There are a number of Big Reactor control scripts already around the place. This one's mine - you hook the computer up to a Reactor Computer Port along with a (decent sized, at least 5x3) Advanced Monitor, and just let it run.

An alternative solution, which actually gives you better fuel efficiency is to connect a pair of rednet ports with cable, output energy stored from one, and send it to fuel rod % on the other. Your reactors output will stabilize with your fuel consumption
