Every screen in CC has prime dimensions. It makes it kind of annoying to evenly space things.
(1 exception; The Pocket Computer has an even width, 26 pixels. Height is still prime, at 19 pixels
The height is even too, the wiki was wrong)

Is there some practical reason that I'm unaware of?

EDIT: Ah yes the suggestion, almost forgot. Pretty simple, make them not prime.

The width of the computer screens is 51, which is not a prime number either. And the pocket computer's height is 20, not 19.

Wow 51 ISN't prime. 3*17 = 51, silly me. Still, a lot of the others are. Is there a reason?

And the pocket computer:

Quote

Pocket Computers have a resolution of 26 pixels/characters horizontally by 19 pixels/characters vertically.
That can be found here:

I believe you, since you are pretty trustworthy, but I don't have time to check in-game

Just checked, you are correct.

The wiki is wrong in several places, it says its 26 by 19.

Fixed that. If I've missed a page just edit it or post about it. Someone was probably running multishell when he/she was getting the screen size.

It's not on purpose. The size of computer and turtle screens were chosen to make the most of a default-sized minecraft window. The size of pocket computer was chosen because I wanted a portrait aspect ratio. The size of monitors is calculated based on the size of the monitor in blocks, and a default text size I thought looked nice.

Isn't there a config setting that allows you to have different screen sizes? I could've sworn there used to be...

Prior to CC 1.6, indeed there was.
