[OOC] @Wait_ please check the rules section of the OP, rule 7 is about combat.
I would like to suggest that everyone reads the rules and expected questions section of the OP. If I update them then I will mention it in a new post.
(The sharp eyed of you may notice that I've added something similar to the above in the OP.) [/OOC]

With Maxris blasting at her and Arcum's stones slowing her down, the zombie-wife falls before she reaches Matthias. She still crawls to her target ripping grass from the ground as she pulls herself slowly closer.

Meanwhile, the farmer has managed to break his own window and had begun to climb out when the arrow thrown by Henry hits his shoulder. It is then that Matthias called forth the blast of axe bound energy (which was supplied by Pulse about an hour before).

Matthias' axe stone releases a funnelled shock wave which shoves the undead farmer back into his house. Robbing the farmer of the little progress that he had made climbing out of the window, and robbing Nico his target who turns the thin walls around the window into a doorway. The axe stone is now a dull black, its power expended.

"Hmm, my aim is a bit off..."
He then darts to the new doorway looking to acquire the target (The farmer who got hit with an arrow.)

The farmer is picking his corpse-like body off the floor, his undead son is just behind him.

Nico turns his axe over, using it as a massive war hammer. He swings at the farmer, attempting to crush him into the floorboards.

The floorboards crack under the weight of the hammer head side of Nico's axe. The farmer's ribcage caves-in coating the nearby area, bear and weapon in blood.

The farmer's son takes an attack of opportunity with Nico's weapon buried in the floor.

[OOC] I think I may be pushing my PG rating rule in this post. [/OOC]

Matthias swings his axe to chop off the head of the approaching zombie-wife.

"Pulse's charge did not last nearly as long as I expected it would. Then again the fact it got charged at all could be the strange part" Matthias says, partly to himself.

The construct moves to take "tank" the damage from the farmer's son and in doing so, attempts to fire its ice lances at the son's head.

[OOC]
446 posts, this is going good and strong.

Taking the blow from the son knocked the floating construct down a foot causing Maxris' counter attack to hit his chest and not his head. The undead farmer's son stumbles into a chair, falling backwards and bashing his head on the nearby table. He doesn't move after landing in a heap on the floor.

With the threats vanquished (or very nearly so), Matthias ponders about his stone and Pulse's energy as he rolls the severed head aside and cleans his axe. He recalls that the axe stone was notably brighter when it was first charged compared with just before firing it. It must have been slowly fading as the group was travelling through the forest from the tower to the farm.

"We were going to the village, right?" Kor remarks, trailing off due to a distraction on the road.

A horse is sprinting at full gallop, it is pulling a small flat-bed wooden cart which bounces off the cobblestones it rides over. The horse is obviously spooked, increasingly so as it spies the skeletal cows grazing the ash field.

The horse is travelling from Elarshi to Vingara, at this rate it will die from exhaustion before it arrives. There is no rider, nor any viable cargo.

"A horse without a rider... I must investigate. Calm down the horse, I'll see what happened."
It then darts off on the road to Elarshi to investigate.

As Maxris zooms down the road, the three goblins attempt to catchup with the horse, they return a moment later without the horse.

"kurk not catchup, horse gone." Kurk says between panting.

Maxris reaches the crest of a hill, Elarshi is on fire!

"Oh my. I must report this back."
He zooms back to the party.
"Elarshi is on fire! Come, we must know what started this."

"On fire? As in flames, burning, soon to be ash?" The goblins inquire while pillaging the farmhouse.

"We must see if there is anything we can do to put out the flames!" exclaims Matthias, "We may still be able to save some of the people there".

A beeping sound comes from the construct.
"From my calculations, we are in no ability to save Elarshi, we can only evacuate those who can be saved.
And yes, goblins of... I'm not gonna bother at this point. GET A MOVE ON!"

Rushing to the aid of Elarshi, you find its streets as empty as the now thatch-less roofs. Doors lie inwards, the underside unscathed by the fire. Charred bodies lie in every location.

"Seems we are too late... but... floors... undamaged... Hmm... calculating..."
The ring around the constructs then begins to spin, revealing that the ring is actually 3.
"Hmm, either magic... or dragons... but I'd say 99% magic. We must investigate."
The construct begins its search, sensing for magic within the air.

Other than the faint hint of necromancy, the are no traces of magic. This fire must have been created by conventional means. What Maxris does find in his analysis of the area is a residue of various flammable substances linking each of the burnt out buildings. On a hunch he follows the lines of residue to a single point which - conveniently - is a safe distance the buildings. A spell was cast here, a fire spell to be precise.

"The nearest village I know of is Vingara, as I was heading there before I met this party. That place is far north from here though, there is no way we can reach it before sundown." replies Matthias.
