"So you may be the unlikely band as mentioned in the prophesy." Father James contemplates, looking to the ceiling. "Am I to be the mentor in this monomyth? Would you burden me as such Lord Tueri?"

William plays a dramatic, upbeat song on his lute and sings along something in Elvish. The song causes a force pushing back against the axe.

[OOC]Will very much underestimated his opponent last round, so he is starting off strong.[/OOC]

"Well, if it worked, the spell should take some time."
The Scribam sat down.

Still in a headlong rush towards his opponent, Nico tries to swing his axe sideways at the bard. The musical spell causes the great weapon to slow enough to allow the smaller man to dodge backwards from the wild swipe.
Grunting with the effort, Nico steps to the inside of his swing, increasing his leverage and spinning entirely around to make a second pass at his opponent with greater speed, if less strength.

Will stops playing and quickly steps backwards, with the bear's axe hitting the tip of Will's sleeve, though not through to skin. The bard picks up his lute again and quickly plays a quick soundwave, though not refined in any direction, then starts another song.

"I've heard little of these 'wraith wounds', but my faith is in science. Do you think the spell worked?" The Scribam asked, talking to the group around the victim.
[OOC] Still wondering whether the spell worked or not. [/OOC]

"I will have to defer that question to my patient." Father James replies. "As for information on wraiths, I don't consider myself an expert but I'll try to answer what I can."

"How do you guys expect to stop Libitina? Mortals are no match for gods." A younger cleric asks.

"Ne guesses it worked. But ne isn't sure."

"you know, we'll visit her and use magic powder (produced by ponies, of course) on her. It's really easy, don't you think?"

"And how do you plan on getting to the domain of a god?" Father James scorns. "How are you sure that your... pony magic will be strong enough to stop her? The gods can't get to another's domain without invitation or expensing a lot of their power."

The old cleric continues. "No mortal has defied a god and lived. But there some items which may make it possible, in olden times the gods created relics of great power. They are only legends now but I suspect that some old tales hold more truth then they first seem to. If the legends are true then these items are forged from a part of the gods soul, creating great power but weakening the god. I also believe that these items can be consumed by the god to restore his lost power."

The cleric rubs his chin. "Most of these legends involve relics created by Tueri and take the form of weapons and armour. You could search for these items, alternatively you could do what the people in the legends did and impress the gods. Although with the impending war I'm sure that the gods are going to be very reserving of their power."

[OOC] You guys can go and make these legends if you like. https://github.com/C...ies-and-Legends [/OOC]

"Well, if you'd like, I have a few of my own tricks up my sleeve..." The Scribam mentions. "So, if you're interested, I can tell you... Maybe there's something I can do to help."

[OOC]Relics of great power, reminds me of Matthias's Firestone. Mind if I work that into a legend instead of its original origin? Not that it would help the party much unless I bring Matthias back.[/OOC]

Father James turns to The Scribam. "I'm sure that we need all the help we can get if we are to survive a battle between gods."

[OOC] It's been too long since I've had a chance to look at this. I actually kinda missed it. [/OOC]

"I feel like this holds the clue to my history. So, I'm pretty sure I've heard the prophecy before somewhere. First of all, where does one start when taking down a god?" The Scribam takes a seat, thinking about the situation.

[OOC] Wow, it's been way to long since I last posted in this. [/OOC]

The crowd cheers loudly as Will's unfocused sound-wave rocks the pavilion, causing dust and dirt to fall from the rafters.

[OOC] To remind everyone, William and Nico are dueling in the tournament. Nearly everyone else is in the temple which Sandwich was taken too. [/OOC]

Not deterred, but slightly disoriented, Nico continues his swing and strikes the ground next to Will. A massive crack resounds throughout the arena, and the ground splits next to the bard.
