Usually there's a post when new versions are released but I didn't see one for this update, so I'm posting this to let people know who don't go through the news page to get to the forums.

Hey all, it’s time for another ComputerCraft update! I’m currently working on an update of the mod for Minecraft 1.8, but before I do: here’s one final update for Minecraft 1.7.10. It fixes a couple of small but annoying bugs discovered during the 1.8 port.
Downloads: ComputerCraft 1.75 requires Minecraft version 1.7.10 with an up to date version of Minecraft Forge installed. Once you have Forge, drop the jar file into your /mods/ directory, and launch Minecraft.
Changelog:
  • Fixed monitors sometimes rendering without part of their text.
  • Fixed a regression in the “bit” API.
See you in 1.8!

Is that not just a side product of the string bug though?

Thanks for fixing the bit API bug!

So it's safe for me to revert the changes I made to asm.lua and JVML-JIT to circumvent the bit api problems, right?

That sounds like a "try it and see"-sort-of-question to me, but in my quick tests at least the negative effects to the colours API have been resolved.
