They've been up and down a lot more than usual, and now posts require approval. Anyone know what's going on?

They have been under persistent DDOS attacks for several days now.

That doesn't explain the posts needing approval, or the buttons though

The posts needing approval is probably to prevent bot-spam attacks if I had to guess.

I was about to ask what you meant by the by the buttons flying away but then found out when I was about to click the quote button.

Maybe the forum software has been hacked?

These flying buttons are actually pretty fun. "Quote me if you can"

But more seriously: What happened? Did these Anonymous guys got angry and hacked the forums, enabling a moderator approval for everyone and adding flying quote buttons?

Also, is posting a problem that it needs approval? I wonder what the actual moderators think about this, there will be a lot more work for them and the forums will slow down, because of slower reply rates.

And I cannot edit my post yet (which should be above this one) because it's not approved yet, which is a bummer.

I just PMed Lyqyd about this. Apparently it's not only me then. I think these measures are justified, given the situation.
