Is there anyway to create a turtle upgrade that does not make the turtle lose the capabilities of the wireless modem?

The two ways I thought of are either inheriting from the existing wireless modem upgrade, or I guess having two peripherals on one turtle -- but I can't see a way to do either.

In the latest version wireless modems can be used with any other peripheral.

Well that is great, but why did you enable it for only one peripehral (the wireless) I'd rather like to see a generic solution.

Latest as in not released?

So I can take a "Wireless Mining Turtle" and turn it into a "MyPeripheral Wireless Mining Turtle"?

no, basically tools are treated like peripherals now, but there's still a limit of 2 upgrades. So, wireless mining turtle, MyPerhipheral mining turtle, or Wireless MyPeripheral turtle works, but still no wireless myperiphereal mining turtle.

And latest as in released last week. 1.42.

If that happens (which it probably won't) then I'd expect dan to make it so:
* If you use front, top or bottom, the turtle can't dig or attack in that direction.
* If you use the back your turtle has a smaller inventory (look closely at a turtle, there's a "backpack" there)

I hope to dig/attack in any direction left tool is enough.
Bottom & back busy by engine & inventory. It should not be changed except by better versions.
Forward and top sides wanted available for many reasons.

I think it just needs a top space, and it would always have the wireless modem there.
Then we can have all-purpose Wireless Crafty Mining turtles, yay!
