Hi all,
Welcome to the public beta testing forum for ComputerCraft. Here you'll be able to download pre-release beta versions of ComputerCraft before I release the stable versions (think of them like the Minecraft snapshots). Beta versions will contain bugs, unfinished features, and stuff that will change heavilly between beta and final release. This means that no compatibility is guaranteed between different beta versions, or between beta versions and final release. ie. your worlds could become corrupted if you use betas, so don't complain.
The purpose of this forum is for bug testing, that is: finding problems in the beta versions, so those problems can be fixed before the final release. This means that when you find bugs, you need to write bug reports in the bug thread. A bug report is a concise, accurate description of a problem, along with exact steps on how to make the bug occur. Without these reproduction steps, a bug report is close to worthless.
Public testing is being done as an experiment. If we get lots of high quality bug reports, we'll keep doing it. If we get lots of spam, we'll stop. We also reserve the right to revoke your access to this forum if you make a lot of unhelpful or off-topic posts.
Happy testing!

As a prior beta tester i would like to point out something. Make sure that your report is easy to read, and covers all the necessary points to track down the bug. If you could use the format below or similar it would be appreciated. If you still don't know how it should look, take a look at prior Bug Report threads. Also try to go straight to the point and don't use slang. And last, please do not report allready posted bugs.
Have fun beta testing!

You should really have a backup of your world if you're using the beta one. Also, if it gets corrupted you could just get the "computer" folder out of it and your data would likely not be lost.
