TCP/IP Sockets (or even UDP)

It would be great to have a peripheral similar to a modem that would allow for tcp/ip (or udp) to use internet services (other than http). I was thinking it could be a satellite dish peripheral to symbolize communications with devices that take place outside of the Minecraft world.

It could have real world applications such as monitoring Arduino (sensors/ control electronic devices/ anything).

Forgive me if this has been shot down already.

There is a peripheral called CCSockets.

Not for MC 1.4.4/5 or CC 1.47, but it does for MC 1.4.2 and CC 1.46.

This is one of those moments that I wish I knew Java so I could make my own plugin :-/

well you see if this is added someone could hop on a CC server and access router login ect.
