This mod has great potential, but it doesnt seem as though that potential is being used to he creates of its capacity. We have a great community going on here and we should take advantage of it to put out as many programs as possible. Go onto YouTube and find some videos of cool things people have made with the mod and ask them if you can post it on here or better yet ask them if they will post it. Even if you aren't that great of a programmer, or your capable of engineering the ext great OS for CC just post it! Heck I made a program that just places rails! No matter how small or unhelpful it may seem, if it does something you should post it so that we can build up our program library!

Allot of people are probably making stuff that they don't really see other people as needing. I'm sure there is allot of very customized software for CC out there that fits a players specific need. It would be nice to see more videos of what people are doing and maybe some API's to make easier for those who are not as gifted.

I'd rather have a few high quality programs, than a bunch of throw-away ones.
The trend started with all of the "OSes" and now continues with file manager clones, browser clones, network clones, remote turtle clones, etc.
And very often a collection of programs by a user is started out of enthusiasm and wanting to show the world ones own creations.
But after a time that declines, the quality of the programs is questionable and it vanishes into the recesses together with all the other throw-away stuff.
Mostly it's just enthusiastic f**king around, without any regard for re-usablility, ease-of-use or dynamic applicability.

So yeah, I wouldn't encourage getting even more potential throw-away programs just for the sake of more programs.
If there is a need for a sepcific kind of program, then someone can make a (reasonable) request or program it him/herself and learn something in the process.
That's what CC is all about. If all kinds of programs that could ever be conceived were pre-made already, then there'd be no need for any programming interface whatsoever.

I hope I didn't step on anyone's shoes, this is just my personal opinion and I'd vote against it. So no offense ironsmith123! />

I love the make a program section idea. I would help out there for sure. Would be fun making stuff to help others, I'm running out of my own stuff to make.....

I CLEARLY said "If it does something you should post it."! I didn't say post your useless programs here. I'm not saying we shouldn't not have functional ones I'm saying that we should have more programs. We have some great ones, but they are very limited. I don't get why you are all being so "pushy", I mean this is what forums are for aren't they?

*Edit: I think that that would be beneficial to have a "requests" forum section.

Go get the people that made all the stuff you're talking about and ask them to do tutorials to recreate them />
