SERVER FORUM


INFO:
Ok so I thought that I should start a new server when i'm gonna
get a better internet(Or it will Lag Cause It's Slow)
That runs with Tekkit cause there isn't many CC tekkit servers that are online(Sorry to diappoint those who does'n Like it!).
And I wondered what you all thought off a Police System that those who get hired as a cop on the server can lookup on a special computer if the character they caught has any previous records(Like Griefing Using Illegeal items/mods)
And on this server items/mods will not be banned instead they will be illegeal to use and If you get caught using them and arrested by a cop you go to prison for a couple of days(Depending On Item Used) and you'll Get your Items removed in prison
And everyone that comes too the server should get their own bank account and bank card that your money is on.
BlackMarket is a secret place to quickly get illegeal items with money(Illegeal ofcourse)
Please come with Ideas for this , Like what should be built and what should be changed and stuff

I may start the server not this weekend and not the next but the one after that since I'm gonna LAN with my buddy and he has a better internet and ofcourse he'll help me build and anyone that wanna join can come and help to build if they want!

Well I don't now since i thought it should use CC and with an money mod , Do you mean something that can be added like WorldGuard and WorldEdit?
If so then yeah that would be nice!

Hmmm, I could be a Bank Programmer. I have thought of a way of banking through CC computers that's really secure, and making the code not public makes it even more secure.

Of course modern look, it shall be a city!

It would be a forge mod, not a plugin btw, so that we can have our own graphics for the items and peripheral.
by mod I mean a child mod to CC, like a credit card reader as a peripheral and cards that are assigned one per player. I also wanted to make a cash item that uses NBT to store it's value. So you can collect cash and no matter how much money you have, it always only takes up one slot.

Maybe I should prototype it and show you.

Edit: On the card_read event it should have a stolen variable indicating if a player that the card is not registered to has used it. it would then be up to the infrastructure of the server and the computers to do something about it. Maybe report it to the police department.

I think it sounds cool, but I'm not too hot on the idea of using Tekkit. Tekkit tends to be really slow, and is WAAAY outdated right now (and for the foreseeable future). Would be a lot better to just pick a few good mods and put them together. That way you could keep up to date with CC and other mods.

As for making a credit mod... What's wrong with using Immibis' mag card readers?

Actually, Tekkit now uses CC 1.48 as far as I know.

If you're talking about custom titles you change it yourself in your profile and I think it becomes active at around 750 post.

Edit: I think that they changed it. I'm not sure how you do it now.
