I like this one problem though:the account system
Everybody can modify each others account therefore I suggest you make a login system where the first registered user is the administrator and is the only one that can access the account settings (sorry for the long post)

#149124 Resizable Window?

Posted by LabyStudio on 16 October 2013 - 06:36 AM in Ask a Pro

View PostCoderPuppy, on 15 October 2013 - 02:33 PM, said:

On line 28 you have:
if XY2 == "X+8,Y" and button == 1 then -- #### X position
It's checking if XY2 is equal to "X+8,Y", the variables aren't getting replaced. Replace "X+8,Y" with (X + 8) .. "," .. Y.

Thank you :D

You should be looking at the mouse click coordinates relative to the actual window position rather than simply checking if they are in one absolute position of the screen.
yes.. but that does not work :/

Is this some sort of an OS/Graphical shell? Or is it a tutorial for an OS? Because if it is you would have to say which one it is and you should also post the source code so we could help you.

#133669 (mouse click) #Detects when the x is between 1-5 and y is equal to 1

I think your comparison signs are mixed up. Try switching them around: >= to <=

local event, btn, mousex, mouseY = os.pullEvent("mouse_click")
if mouseX<=1 and mouseX<=5 and mouseY==1 then                         -- [ <= ]
  print("test")
end

attempt to compare __le on nil an number :/

and:

local event, btn, mousex, mouseY = os.pullEvent("mouse_click")
if mouseX<=1 and mouseX=<5 and mouseY==1 then                        -- [ =< ]
  print("test")
end

'then' expected! :/

#133654 [Youtube] Subscribers counter [solved]

Posted by LabyStudio on 15 July 2013 - 09:27 AM in Ask a Pro

View PostBubba, on 13 July 2013 - 10:15 PM, said:

It's pretty simple if all you need is the subscribed amount. If you take a look in the source code of the page, you'll see something like this:
<span class="yt-subscription-button-subscriber-count-branded-horizontal subscribed">36</span>

So get the page text and run a simple regex match on it:
local page = http.get("http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC83CJDRvam3_3VKK2L52x9g") --#Some channel
local text = page.readAll()
print("Subscribers -> "..text:match([[subscribed"%s->([^<]*)]]))

Which will print out: "Subscribers -> 36"

thank you;)

Oh and also at least localize the username and password variables, else some other program can just steal it. (You should localize all the variables)

done.

I think it would be better if you didn't require a premium account login, so people won't feel so insecure putting their username and password details. And yes I completely understand the source is visible and can be seen it does nothing bad, but just for paranoid people, and just in case someone doesn't take advantage of this and make their own version...

Oh and also at least localize the username and password variables, else some other program can just steal it. (You should localize all the variables)

I'm already working on a "cracked" version ;)

I would later create a 2D Minecraft where you can play on the Internet.
That is why you need the premium account that no player appears twice
