#150954 Swarm Miner - Quarry Up Where You Want. Version 2.0
Posted by dronf on 28 October 2013 - 04:38 PM in Turtle Programs
This may have already been asked and covered, but is there a way to make a turtle skip mining certain blocks? Would be nice to be able to go back in to a quarry hole and silk touch certain ores.
thanks again!
thanks again!

I finally got this working, but have had some odd results. I noticed that turtles will frequently get stuck following each other, so there will end up being like 8 in a row, slowly following the first. If that first one tries to turn around, the whole thing stops. Anyone seen something like this?

I'm having trouble getting this to work. I have a proper GPS network set, so gps locate gives me the correct data. When i create an order and give it to a turtle to execute, they go forward a few blocks and stop with the words "Work Done" on the bottom of their screen. If I restart the turtle it moves forward 1 block, then says work done.
This was on a test 100x100, 1x1 sector repeats, down to y=6 quarry.
The current.log of one of the turtles contains: {["pos"]={["y"]=75,["x"]=2888,["z"]=-912,["zd"]=1,["xd"]=0,},["run"]=true,["fuel"]=4699,["id"]=153,}
Any ideas?
thanks!

I'm guessing that this changed because a lot more packs are using Biomes O' Plenty, instead of ExtraBiomesXL. I think in BOP that certain trees can do 2x2, but only in the proper biome. There isn't a non-forestry tree that will automatically work 2x2 no matter what, anymore.

Something isn't working quite right for me. I put cobble, stone, gravel, and dirt in 1-4, and it still seems to get dumped into the chest. This is in mc 1.6.2, cc 1.5.6...is this a known issue?
thx!
EDIT: Actually, i have even worse problems than that. It looks like the little guy is getting mixed up and changing directions. I walked over to check on it and it had broken both chests and went off mining 90 degrees clockwise from the original plot.
thx!

FYI this started working for me last night, after the server admin took the server down for some work. I wasn't online at the same time as him, but I'm strongly guessing he updated some plugins. I'll see if I can get the list from him. Pretty sure this is a plugin related issue, as I was unable to recreate on my own with several versions of mcpc+ with no plugins.
by the way.....the program is great!

McLeopold:
This program looks great, and I'm really hoping it works out for me. I'm running the newest version of the unleashed pack (1.1.3, on MC 1.5.2), with biomes o plenty enabled. This is also in SMP. I have it all setup like in the pic in the first post. I install, then run bee with a forest princess and a meadows drone in the turtle. I get the following output:
Clearing system...
ditching product...
scanning bees...
analyzing bees...
Bee 1 not correctly analyzed
Bee 2 not correctly analyzed
Waiting for bees.......
At this point it hangs forever. The bees were properly scanned, and I can see their attributes now when I shift click. I believe the turtle found and used the bee analyzer, since it turns that direction and spits them out, then back in.
Any idea on how I can get this running?
EDIT: I've confirmed this works in single player on the same client. I believe this is also an MCPC+ server, someone above mentioned this might be a problem.
I checked with the server owner and he is using mcpc+ build 635. I tried this on my own server with both MCPC+ 635 and the newest one, 638, and it worked on both. Is there a debug mode where I can see what the problem is? Or is there a local log written somewhere?
I ran the lua from a post above that outputs the analyzer data, and got similar output to tuxtux, but using a forest bee. FYI gregtech is NOT installed on this server.
Thanks!

I'm very new to CC, and have a quick question that I didn't see the answer to in the first post: what slot does the fuel go in by default?
thx!
