i find the compass idea logical cause minecraft already has a compass item we can use in the recipe. so basically its hard to explain why a turtle doesn't have a compass?

yeah some ideas are begin to repeat i think it is time
lets see what has been rejected?
-turtle fuel?
-turtles retrieving block id's?
-full graphics monitors?
and what else has been repeating over and over again (both here and in the mc forum thread)?

giving yourself a sig that big to make yourself noticeable. is like bioware saying they made the ending of masseffect3 messed up so everyone will remember it.

no you don't you load the items into the slots and you tell the turtle which slots in the chest you are transferring ingredients from hold which items

its been shot down by dan or one of the forum staff since the introduction of turtles. compare is what you get be happy or code your own peripheral.

block id's can be different for every installation it will be very unstable don't ask for block id's ask for more inventory space. also seeing the block ID is magic this is a tech mod.

indeed dan is likely aware of every ones interest in printers so the only way to get printers any faster at this point is if some one codes a peripheral (thats how we got monitors after all)

so i guess the big question is would it be better to have turtles interact with vanilla minecraft inventories like the pipe mods do, or to make computercraft equivalents to crafting tables, chests, and furnaces? also keep in mind how long it would take to update either option.

2. Liraal you mean like the remote in the ccmagic peripheral?(it might have a mouse demo as well)EDIT: found the video but its tagged private
3. simple related idea add a touch screen peripheral where you right click the monitor block and the block generates a redstone signal then just wire it to your computer and code your gui accordingly.

personally I think there are bigger fish to fry than the ability to watch yogscast in minecraft. but here is something you(EvgEniy) should be able to implement in the near future.
1.use the peripheral api to make a custom map printer
2.use the hang-able maps plugin
3.use turtles to take down and put up custom maps for your "display"
