Not entirely sure if this is the right place to put this so i apoligise if it is. But my question is: can someone explain how to use the custom turtles in Feed The Beast, There are turtles that have things like mining lasers attached and i have no idea how to use them. There is nothing on the FTB Wiki so can someone please link me to an api or something? Thanks

"belive that cloudy and dan WOULD say pretty much the same" honestly it would help if they gave reasons to denying suggestions. I mean, just saying "No." does not give much of an input and new users to the CC mod and forums would not know exactly what would be the concept of the mod and i dont think it would make them feel very welcome when they just see "No." at the bottom of there topic and there topic locked. just saying, could be a little more friendly..

LuaJ is what Cloudy and Dan use to interpret Lua commands within java. It's a bit clunky and annoying to deal with from what I hear, and their plan is to move away from their dependency on it.
but in order to do that wouldnt they have to write their own version of lua and maybe there own interpreter? im not entirly sure how that would be possible?

I have some code, but compared to you guys its probally very basic. one more thing is, why not get a teamspeak3 server? instead of irc people can use there voices. this would be much better for sharing ideas ete.i have a disk manager to wipe, clone and re label disks if you would like to embed that? also a nice login screen. the last thing i got is a wireless turtle control using a menu UI, but thats all i really got. just ask if you want any of it, note the programs in my signature are very outdated. if you would like the code il post it here, dont use the shit in my signature:P, im willing to help develop it if you want?

Because, there are soo many suggestions that only a few people need you should make a thread where people can request certain mods/peripherlals/apis ete so they can have their functions and stuff and the community could make them. i just think this would be useful as you could have suggestions for the main mod and requests that if they get made others can use as well? could you perphaps try this?

it would give support for many languages
The problem with that is would lua reconise a character with an accent? lua is its own unique language, the same as Enlgish, French, german. so what you siad does not really make sense. in theory it does not need accents as lua is its own language. its like saying, we should add a new letter to the English alphabet

Try to make a 7 pixel hight italic/bold font then, Cloudy explained that before.

i have not heard of such an explanation. how ever, couldnt you just make it the same height just 1 pixel wider? wouldn't that look bold. or make room for letters that are more than 7 pixels high. so the max height could be 9 or something? i honestly think that this should be added to CC

could we get a couple more fonts added to CC? just think you could use it to make thing stand out. then you could use something likes textutils.setFont()

and it would print it in a different font?
just think it could be nice to make different parts of programs stand out a little more and give them a little bit more style?
could this be possible?

This is a good point. many times i have had one issue solved then a next issue has come up that i also need help with. perphaps we could give the creator of the topic to mark it solved, or introduce a forum rule saying you must [SOLVED] in the title of your post if it has been solved? this would be good

ok so i have this code:

if exist then
  print("Entry Already Exists.")

print("Entry Ok")

as im sure you can work out, you enter a name then it goes and checks to see if it exists in the entrys folder. if it does it prints:
entry already exists
if it does not exist it prints:
Entry Ok.
but i get an error on the IF statment line saying
"attempt to call string".
i think there is a problem with the exist varible but cant work out what it is?
can anyone help me out a little?

i know gps hosts make things a little more fun and less over powerd. but i can you guys add a option in the config so that you dont need them. so for instance i could do turtle.goToCords(x, y, z) and it would go to it. i really need to use this on my server but dont want to have GPS hosts all over my map. please please please please please please add this. i dont mind if it is turned of by default because of over powerd reasons, but please try and add this.

could the function rednet.reply() be inplemented. so if you type rednet.reply("I Got Your Message") it could send that to the id that last sent you a message. just an idea can could be useful for private chats ete.

thanks. also can you help me with receiving a list.
i did this code on my computer:

end
and it showed all the directories and files as it should. but when i tried sending "v" over rednet when it was received it would only print the first program. any idea why this is happening?
