I recall that a while back I asked if I could create some kind of Firewolf-powered OS, may I still attempt to try this? If its still a go, then I would like some aid as to where to place files for websites and how to name them proper.

#166015 Jupiter - A Customizable OS [1.11]

Operating Systems
I have used Jupiter for a while now, and I dare say it is by far my FAVORITE OS out there. Here's why.
1) It feels like an OS. While many others do (PearOS, KrussOS, and LabyOS for examples) this OS allows you to create shortcuts to files you have obtained via pastebin. This is something hard to find out there.
2) It's very, very customizable compared to the three I mentioned above.
3) It's simply beautiful. Because it allows you to edit and create your own icons, you can design things how you want them.
I honestly can't wait for another update!

Granted, but nobody knows who "they" is and therefore everybody does it at once, making it terrible.

Ask a Pro
Considering I'm returning to Lua, I'm not 100% sure if this code will work. I feel like it might, but also that it might not. It's an alternative to dj, but I want it to be able to check for audio, say what song it is, play it, and stop it (with the option to eject it). It at first assumes the drive is on the bottom, but it can be changed by altering the variable "drive" (at least, how I want it to be).

Saw the Rainmeter post, going to try that out, see how it looks/performs. I do love the whole concept of Rainmeter though, its very smart. I'll post back here soon with a Rainmeter'd one.
EDIT: Finally got it how I like it. So here it is.

Thanks 1lann! I'll be working on the OS (codenamed FireWolfOS, which will likely be it's final name) that is very, very web based. The only other program I can think of that I would add in as a local page would be Thunderbird, which would allow for something special - communication with other people registered for Thunderbird via "email". Basically, FireWolfOS (aka my first OS, which I will spend a ton of time on) will emphasize web programs over native ones, permit inter-server communications, allow people in Singleplayer to contact Multiplayer friends, and make using programs so easy that you practically don't need to download anything. Oh wait, you don't.
Virtually any program will either be done on a local page, or via a server website that runs the code. So thanks again 1lann!

#100696 Surface Pro - Anyone used it with Minecraft and CC?

A few things...
1) The Surface Pro is, in no way, intended for any form of gaming outside of online or very, VERY casual games such as Fruit Ninja.
2) If you're looking for a gaming laptop, customization is key. You'll want something that you could semi-easily modify in the future.
3) If price is a key factor (under a certain price), try to opt for an AMD APU such as the A8. A friend of mine uses it in his gaming rig, it gives him great FPS with Minecraft. He can also run all sorts of games at high graphics settings.
4) If you really, REALLY don't want an AMD chip, an i5 won't cut it. Opt for an i7 or the Gaming i7.
5) You will want a great graphics card as well. AMD Radeon's are some of the most popular ones - laptop versions to my knowledge are unheard of. But try for something non-Integrated if it's non an AMD APU.
6) Touchscreens on Minecraft not fun make.
7) Consider the OS you want. Are you familiar with Windows 8? Or is Windows 7 more your style? Think carefully - it will impact the usability of your machine.
8) I did a search on Newegg for Gaming/Entertainment PC's. They are ordered, from the link, from best ratings. http://goo.gl/fhOv1
9) For a good gaming machine that can run Minecraft quickly and smoothly, as well as serve the other purposes you want, I suggest at least 2.5 GHz processor, 4gb RAM, a dedicated graphics card w/ at least 1gb of 'memory', and 320+gb HDD or SSD. Try for a 500+gb HDD if you can.
That's all I have to offer - it is up to you, however, to make the decision.
PS: If you're looking for a touchscreen tablet at a decent, reasonable price that is also portable, go for the Dell Latitude 10" w/ Keyboard Dock. Do NOT get the XPS 10", that runs Windows RT, which is a severely locked down version of Win8.

Theoretically, couldn't it be possible to create a operating system using Firewolf as it's base? For example, you go to the main page (rdnt://firewolf), then using the address bar you go to various sub-sections (rdnt://games, rdnt://utilities, etc.). And then, of course, you can browse to the various websites (rdnt://examplesite) all in one "web-based" OS. Other programs could be hosted by other players in the world (in SMP) or by yourself (in SSP) using the web to do various functions (turning on lights, opening a door, playing a song in a disk drive, an IRC client/IM Client, etc.) - to me the possibilities are almost endless, especially on a SMP server.
If this is possible, please let me know. If you guys behind Firewolf are OK with me using Firewolf as the base to run everything, do let me know. If not, I can always find another browser to base this off of (but Firewolf looks like the coolest one)
