From what I heard from the owner, it wont be a contest "It will be a place for users to show off their programs, and for the newer players to learn something."
so I don't think you have anything to worry about Death. And as of the server questions, we aren't expecting many, and the server isn't great YET. My father has decided to donate a better server to us, and that should be able to hold 200 or so. I'm not completely sure about what the owner said, but that is a definite update about the server.

awesome was just a little worried for you guys as a sudden influx of players can red line a server easily your main concern should be ram and a good processor second

for the server it will be the best we can make it but we can still only hold so meny players so.. we will be having it running for a long time befor we shut it down.

and no matter what come on have a look and show that world what you have made this is the point of comp o' con to help the computercraft world learn LUA

We may hold a competition for fun, but this is not the whole point of Comp o' Con.

Date?
Pretty vague, like MineCon, and being vague always end in disaster for these things.

Is it survival? I'd rather just be able to quickly NEI my computer in and get programming. Could you implement that FTP mod/plugin please? So we can upload scripts using are favorite editors? (I write all my CC stuff in Notepad++).

and how many of you are DEFINITELY going? What about possibly? I need to start getting a count because if I am getting a TS3 server then I need to know how many slots to buy.

Mumble server instead? Super low latency and that's the only VoIP I have (besides Skype).

I know most people use/have Teamspeak, that's why I went for it. What do you all think? Mumble or Teamspeak?

I'd rather you spend the money on server hosting than TeamSpeak (Mumble is free) so Mumble it is!
Does Vent have a limit?

I'm working on a piece of networking code (that allows nodes to move data over long distances) along with some bank code (that allows users to store iron virtually, withdrawing/depositing it at ATMs with the ability to buy stuff using a credit card). I'd love to join :)/> but have little to show as of current - I'll finish off the network code.
Is their a good way to get code onto the server?? The bank code is barely started and already huge.

I'm not sure if you want to, but I enabled pastebin. You can just upload it to that then get it on minecraft. Also, idk about the ventrilo limit, but I will look into it.
