rednet range is calculated from:
minRange + (position.yCoord - 96.0) * ((maxRange - minRange) / ((world.getHeight() - 1) - 96.0));

where by default:
minrange = 64
maxRange = 384
world.getHeight is 255 or 256(dun remember)

To be honest, I don't really like how most peripherals draw cables/wires n such freestanding in mid-air. I prefer the way redpower does it - cables laying on the ground, or attached to the walls or ceiling. I also generally prefer thinner wires. To me, it makes things more "techy" and less "industrialized".

Though I'm not a modder, I can imagine the second option being difficult to do, so.

I also might be wrong in saying "most peripherals", as I've only checked out a considerable but small portion of peripherals.

Nice peripheral, TERRIBLE documentation. Please add at least some info about events, functions, etc.

Redpowers way of doing it is a LOT of work. Also, Cruor wanted them to be thicker, so I made them thicker :lol:

Agreed.
Also he should add info on how to install, would be great if he could.

Updated. Cables can now be coloured, just like RedPower wires.

Having problems downloading this, not sure if it's adf.ly or your end, but adf.ly just asks me to enable cookies on my browser (which they are). Tried in chrome and IE to no avail.

Download CCLan and HackingroelzCore and (of course) ComputerCraft, install Minecraft Forge, and (if it doesn't already exist) make a 'mods' folder then rename the Cables.zip file to zCables.zip and drop HackingroelzCore and zCables.zip into the mods folder.
