I know how to run a start up program from a computer. But is it possible to autorun a program from a disk?

Yes, just have the file called "startup" in the root of the disk.

It runs the startup script on the disk if the disk is in a disk drive next to the computer and you restart the computer.

So you can edit disk/startup to have the thing you want to autorun.
Would have showed it a little better if I wasn't on my phone.
