I mean Virtual Hard Drive with VHD.
So, the cenario:
I've some big programs like OSes.
I want to have one Partition for each OS, I mean that one OS hasn't the permissions to edit another OS.
Is something like this possible?

Has been done before. You basically override certain parts of the FS API to make a application think it is in the root directory when it actually isn't.

I'm sure that the rom folder is protected by the Java part of the mod, so I don't think you can have a protection like that on any other folders.
