I think it would be awesome to be able to overload it or so, so it kinda lights on fire and doesn't work anymore, that way you can kinda have a failsafe if someone accesses your computer that has sensitive data on it. It could also be cool if you could somehow repair it and still have the data, but very expensive.

Who supports this idea?

This would be pretty cool right?
*Someone walks into my base*
*Turns on the computer without the special disk*
*Drive burns up and the computer is on fire*
*Needs a couple diamonds to repair the drive*

Better yet, they could change the crafting recipe on the computer to require a hard disk instead of redstone. When the computer burns up, you salvage the hard disk, data intact, and use it to craft a new computer.

Problem with above, if you password protect a computer and make it burn up if the wrong password is entered, then the person that broke it could salvage & take the hard disk, repair it and have your files.

There's no reason the password couldn't stay intact like other files; however, they would still make off with your hard disk.

Maybe theres a way to COMPLETELY burn out the hard disk, or just make it cost a lot to repair it.

Oh gosh no. But you could wire up something like that. Maybe that other person's idea of invincible computers wasn't such a bad idea...

TNT would blow a hole in the building with it, im talking about just burning out the computer, Maybe you could do an adventure map of a Spy, and you get a message on the computer, thats important, then in 10 seconds, it sizzle out.

Or in 10 seconds, it lights a nuke

i like this idea and the whole point of not useing tnt was because it would put a hole in the wall, so no nuke! :)/>

But... Its like self destruct. If a rival company got ahold of the comp, we just remote-light it...

I like the idea, but kind of, unneeded:

while true do
os.pullEventRaw()
end

Run that, boom, locked computer.

os.pullEventRaw() will also grab terminate, and reboot events, if I'm right.

os.pullEvent does that

nope. using os.pullEventRaw disables ctrl+t (the "terminate" event), but ctrl+r and ctrl+s will still work, as they are hardcoded.
