"Where is your fighting spirit? I would crush those wolves before my mighty Sylvana. Though if you cubs do not wish to fight, I suppose we can try to sneak around them, yes?"

"My fighting spirit only shows when it must. Wolves can be avoided. Besides, I try to keep the druids happy should I need help from them one day."

"Yes. Just like you, these creatures have emotions. Not only that, but they, also, are alive. Taking one's life would be like taking the life of another person, even worse so without proper reasoning. You should only kill if you must."

"Ne always went hunting just for fun. Ne liked it. The strong will survive, the weak will fall. That's how it works." Sandwich said.

"Perhaps... but why are we standing here talking about this when we need to be investigating the necromancers..."

The one that first notice the group of adventurers approaches, stopping at the forest edge and sitting on the fallen leaves. It watches the group with its head tilted at a curious angle. The others watch from their original position, heads low and ears alert.

He sees the wolves looking and tries not to make eye contact.
"Don't make eye contact, unless you feel like fighting a bunch of wolves."

"Wait here" Nico says, walking slowly towards the leader of the pack. If they wanted a fight, they would be attacking us already before we saw them. I cannot say I am not disappointed, but they seem to want something of us. At the least, they may know of the temple we seek."
Nico attempts to converse with the wolf-leader to determine their intent.

The brave one on the forest edge stands as the cyberneticly enhanced bear approaches, the others dash back to maintain distance.

As Nico gets closer, the suspected alpha takes a step back with eyes focused on the large axe that the bear carries.

Sensing his wariness, Nico stops and unslings the axe from his back. Whispering to her that he'll return for her, he gently sets Sylvana on the ground and attempts to approach the wolf again, arms held to his sides in a (hopefully) non-threatening manner.

Looks around to make sure no one is suspicious like a necromancer.

//To pulse
"Eh, looks like you like Nico, Pulse? Caring for him and stuff. You two fit together so well!"
*Ne forms a heart with nirs hands and giggles*

[OOC] From this moment on I'm going to ship Nico x Pulse :P/> [/OOC]

"Surely you jest, Sandwich. If he so much as touches a hair on my head, I'll blast him into the next dimension."
*a brief pause*
"Literally."

[OOC]Yeah, let's not go down that road. It's just asking for trouble on all fronts, mmkay? As much as I support equality, I'd rather it not be forced into this game, cause it kinda ruins the story for me.

Still waiting to see if I get attacked by that wolf, though.[/OOC]

[OOC] Sorry about me being quiet recently, I have no excuse.

Nice save on what could have been a long off-topic debate, on the subject of that debate: relationships like the one implied are extremely rare in the game world. Also this is a topic I'd rather avoid until I can gauge the maturity of you players. [/OOC]

The large wolf growls as Nico places his paw on his axe to place it her down. The wolf then leaps at the talking bear but seems to abandon his attack after Nico begins lowering the axe to the ground.

[OOC]Yeah, in general I'd want to stay away from conversations like that mostly because it's not just us who read and participate, and I'd rather not have to ban someone because they couldn't keep it civil. We're all aware that politics, money, religion, and sexuality(among many others) are just things one does not discuss lightly on the internet. It's bound to cause trouble for someone, and then it's just adding fuel to the fire.

Only you can prevent forum fires. And I do now realize what that means as a bear saying those words. Haha, Smokey the Bear reference.

More on topic, I'm going to assume that all wild animals can talk to/understand each other in a common language that humans cannot normally understand. However I would assume that those humans that have a certain affinity with nature would have the ability to learn this 'language'.[/OOC]

"Peace, wolf-brother. We come to your woods to seek a powerful evil that has fallen on the land. We wish to destroy it. Might you know of this evil?"

[OOC] A change to your animal language: only the more intelligent individual animals process this ability, some lesser intelligent ones have it limitedly.
As for our 'other' topic, I ask that it is dropped here. Any further opinions and comments should be kept to their owners (don't post it). [/OOC]

The wolf bounces of your chest from the momentum his half-effort attack, and lands at your feet. "Bear, friend? Heal her?" He turns his head back to his pack and barks twice. Two members of the pack help a third to the forest edge. The third has a large wound on her left haunch, blood causes fur to stick to the skin. It is clear that the wound was caused by something larger than the great-wolf that carries it.
