"Too late now, close the door and shut up. We only have seconds to find a place to hide. There must be a secret passage, you can't fuel an army with such a low amount."
He start to search for a good place to hide.

[OOC] When is the last time you saw a dead man eat? [OOC]

A thunderous voice rumbles the walls of the underground corridors, the chanting stops and Kotuluk halts his praying. "SO, YOU WISH TO CAPTAIN MY ARMY?"

"Yes, my Lady." replies Kotuluk.

"THEN ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE: TWO GOBLINS ARRIVED TO MY DOMAIN JUST MOMENTS AGO, THEY SAY THAT THEY WERE YOUR HIRED GUARD. SEND THEIR SLAYERS TO ME AND YOU SHALL BECOME MY CAPTAIN. FAIL AND YOU WILL BECOME THE FIRST PAWN IN MY ARMY."

"I accept, Mistress."

"I WAIT TO WELCOME YOUR GUESTS AS MY OWN."

"You heard her you mangy rats! Get your weapons and roll out the red carpet!"

Several clatters of steel on steel and steel on stone echoes down the corridor with footsteps following soon after.

[OOC] You are about to be attacked by more goblins, likely equiped with poor armour. Most of them will have swords like the first guards did. Some may have a wooden shield. Beware of the tight quarters in the corridor.[/OOC]

Matthias takes out his firestone, and after charging his axe, he holds the stone near the door waiting.

"A good blast of fire should knock out most of them, be ready for when we reveal ourselves. We still have a bit of surprise on our side" he says.

The door burst open and Matthias springs his trap, green skin turns black as intense flames block the doorway. Two flame-covered bodies stager through and collapse to the floor, several screams of pain can be heard fading down the passageway.

The fire dies down, more goblins push through the narrow doorway.

He casts an ice lance and launches it at the multiple goblins jammed through the door.
(GM may decide this action's fate.)

The ice lance misses its target and shatters against the door frame, some of the shards drive deep into the faces of the lead goblins who yell in pain. They squeeze through the door and charge at the group like a small hoard. Swords swinging wildly at anything not a fellow goblin.

Matthias's firestone is notably darkened by the blast, but still has a little red left in it. Matthias then starts fighting two goblins in defense. He takes a hit on his right arm before managing to strike the first of the goblins. Then he then swings at the other goblin.

[OOC]Well, I think Matthias will just be dueling a bit while I give the other users a chance to join the fight. Hopefully the two goblins Matthias attacked are dead now (that's for the GM to decide).[/OCC]

He then conjures up a magic sword to fight with Matthias.

[OOC]Question, you say tight quarters, but are the hallways labyrinthine or long and narrow? That would help me decide what my next attack would be against the goblins.[/OOC]

Pulse fires a large, 360-degree pulse, disorienting some of the goblins nearby, possibly blinding and/or deafening some of the closer ones.

To pulse "Ne thought it's nothing anyone would care about. Also you *should* be able to detect it with your magic."

[OOC] I like how everyone is fighting and Sandwich is trying to explain nir previous statement about worshipping the evil goddess.
I should probably mention that before she decided to invade the world, Libitina wasn't seen as a bad goddess by any means.
Also, you guys don't know if anyone else knows about her plan to invade the world.

@Cranium, long and (lightly) narrow, the corridor is not completely straight but doesn't have any corners (other than the two at the start and end). There are doors on both sides at irregular intervals (the doors do not mirror each other). At the moment I'm thinking that you all hid in the kitchen.[/OOC]

Taking a opportunity, Matthias manages to swing his axe with enough force to completely remove the head of one of the goblins and lodge his axe into the side of another. Jacob then charges in with his magical blade and stabs the weakened goblin in the eye, causing the ice shards from earlier to fall free.

Pulse's pulse* escapes the door and reflects off the walls of the corridor, the sound of charging footsteps slows and several "Arrrrrgs" can be heard with one yelling "I have a massive headache." There is a pause as the enemy recovers from the AOE attack.

[OOC] *this was going to happen eventually. Did you plan this LightMystic?
Edit: I've just made a bit of extra lore to the game that your characters wouldn't know, I can't wait till they find out to see your (player) reactions. Queue speculation![/OOC]

[OOC] Atleast, because ne is worshipping her, ne should know her plan since the beginning, which means ne kinda reacted wrong some times in the past, i think. :/

[OOC] Not necessarily, the gods are very complex sometimes only telling a few worshippers their plans. It's not unheard of for gods to entirely ignore whole churches of people who gather in their name. Who knows how long this 'Kotuluk' has been praying before finally getting an answer. It's not unheard of for people to try and interpret what their god wants based of completely unrelated circumstances. (I.E. What does the god of travel have to do with the shape of a tree leaf which lands in a cup?) Godhood is not an easy task even for a god.[/OOC]

"More are coming, we need to leave, NOW!"
He then casts a spell and forms an Ice Wall in the corridor where he heard the voices.

Tired of the mages having all the fun, Nico steps in front of the warriors growling. Leveling his axe sideways to his body, the ends of the instrument of death barely clearing the sides of the walls, Nico takes a running start and charges the stream of diminutive enemies. He collides with the front of the pack, and uses his immense strength and bulk to bulldoze them, hoping to knock all of them down, making easy pickings for his friends to finish off.

[OOC]This is why I asked about the environment. Imagine a bunch of enemies streaming down a hallway, and a massive bear charging at them and using his weapon as a bulldozer. Make sure you guys use the terrain to your advantage. Had it been twisting with lots of corners and nooks, I wouldn't be very effective except as a one on one fight.

Here's hoping you guys can finish them off![/OOC]

The ice wall forms in Nico's path, steadily getting thicker towards being a true wall. But the wall is short lived as the bear smashes through it.

Seeing the large bear charging at them, the goblins near the front turn round and try to run. Their flee is blocked by their peers who can't see the large mass of fur and metal charging at them. Several goblins fall easily to Nico's large axe.

He then makes his way back to the entrance.
"Come on, I'm about to burn them out!"

[OOC] The play by post nature was going to give us this problem eventually, we are lucky that we haven't had to do any retconning. [/OOC]

"That's it, I quit." One of the goblins yells throwing his sword to the ground. "We have no chance against these guys. What good is money when you aren't alive to spend it?"

"Yeah!" The other two (still alive) goblins agree, also dropping their weapons.

"The boss is that way," One of them points to the end of the corridor, "tell him that Kurk, Kor, and Mello have resigned." He says as they walk towards the only exit, which is the tower ruin. "Mind if we pass through?"

[OOC] Reminder: the alpha wolf said that he and one-eye would stand guard over the tower. [/OOC]
