With a terrified look on her face, Lynda shakes hands - err, paws - with Nico, who wears an eager grin.
Dave lifts an armoured arm towards Arcum, his eyes on Nico. "Finally a challenge!"
[OOC] Time for that experiment that I mentioned earlier, I'm placing two characters in 'open play'. By this I mean that the NPCs David and Lynda can be controlled by anyone, including forum members who don't have a character. Please check the player rules briefly before posting, and have fun! If this is an effective method of combat then I will consider doing it again in the future.[/OOC]

[OOC]
This 'Open Player' thing sounds like a good idea, it lets the viewers get a chance to interact also

[OOC] Open play may encourage more of the readers to create a character, as they might find that they enjoy controlling David/Lynda. Also, I'm considering the right time to introduce my character properly... [/OOC]

"BEGIN!"
David and Nico charge at each other, axes in hand and paw. Still in her starting spot, Lynda prepares a spell.
[OOC] Lynda and David are now in open play.
OP edit: added info about the new open play system. [/OOC]

This open play idea sounds interesting. I felt it was a bit awkward for the others during the battle with Will and Tom (as they cannot attack, left to just talking), so I can see part of the benefit behind it. I might even make a few actions with Lynda after Arcum makes his first move, as I have been wanting to try out a mage type character. (I have a mage character I've written, but no plans to switch to him anytime soon...)
@CaosTECH: For a single post: up to 10 minutes, though usually no more than 5. I basically come up with what I want to say, then try to find a good word within that to rhyme at (Googling rhymes for the word if needed). I sometimes end up trying multiple words before I find the right rhyme. Though his sentence structure can get a bit strange at times just to end on the right word.

He then tries to ram him with his shoulder plates, but Nico, being a bear, is simply too large and strong for that and David instantly ricochets.
David then sees Lynda with an arrow in her hip and instantly changes targets to Arcum and charges him, going in for a tackle.

@H4x0rz, Distort also makes it hard for the effected character to see, so it's not a bad move.[/OOC]

Lol, my bad on that.
And I do understand Nico isn't part of open play so I did limit my actions in that area. (I.E the funny ricocheting off the bear.)
And the only reason why I actually even went through with it is because he hasn't been on in a while.
But the axe part I didn't see until now, my bad, I'll edit my post.
