Ironically, it looks like sign-ups over at that new site are broken too: no verification mails are hitting my email account.

Pros
- Newer users will be forced to use lua by themselves or look at old topics instead of opening topics that have already been answered, maybe use stack-overflow (which has less tolerance for new users, at least a few years ago
- The community will die down, also less CC updates

As far as discoverability goes, it's definitely an issue. I think that's something which will only improve as time moves forward though, if people do migrate. The last thing one wants is to fragment the community across multiple forums. However, on the flip side, given that Dan hasn't responded to this issue since it started 6 months ago, I don't know how long we can expect this site to remain sustainable. Neither seems entirely satisfactory.
