#264806 Chameleon - your thoughts!

Pretty cool bootloader, I'll probably use it in conjunction with a new kernel and shell.

#264743 cLinux [now with OPTIONAL Desktop Enviroment] [Bye CraftOS, kappa]

Posted by クデル on 13 February 2017 - 09:52 AM in Operating Systems

How can I create an alternate desktop environment? I didn't find doorx in the cc-packman repository so I was a little confused.

Edit: You should implement the command below.
cd ~

#264699 [1.11.2] KrakenKraft [Kaos-Network] [Survival] [Unborked CC] [25/8]

This looks pretty neat, are many people playing?

#264234 Super Samurai

Posted by クデル on 31 January 2017 - 04:59 AM in General

The game is still in the demo phase, however it now uses 15% less memory thanks to a few micro optimisations. :)

#264217 What OS do you use?

Posted by クデル on 30 January 2017 - 09:39 AM in General

I used to have Arch w/ Gnome 3 or Cinnamon. I felt that it was to unstable, being a rolling release and all. Now I use Ubuntu 16.04, with Cinnamon. Unfortunately it uses more resources, but I have found nearly everything just works with Ubuntu, and there's a plethora of support.

#264210 Super Samurai

Posted by クデル on 30 January 2017 - 05:45 AM in General

Super Samurai is a new game I have been working on outside of ComputerCraft, it's a 2D survival slashemup set in a dungeon, full of permadeath. Unfortunately it is only available for Windows at the moment, however you should be able to get away with using something like Wine. (Please note this game is a demo)

I've tried both. Not sure how to make them work. (I'm new to this type of thing.) :( Thanks though!

This is probably the best CPU miner available. https://github.com/1...-miner/releases

#262712 [Coming Soon] [WIP] [Beta Testers Needed] CC-Android

I highly doubt people would be willing to donate real money for a ComputerCraft program.

I thought Bomb Bloke's post was satirical until I finished reading it. Now I think it's hysterical.

As a small follow up to krist-cli, I have parsed the transaction response, making it look a lot nicer as well as a few performance improvements.

I have recently been working on krist-cli, a cli kristwallet written in Go. If you want to use it yourself download it from here or build it yourself and use the below screenshot as a reference.

Is this like a lesser version of KristScape, or something different?

#260328 Tesseract - my proof-of-concept operating system

Posted by クデル on 07 October 2016 - 06:12 AM in Operating Systems

Rather nice OS, one small problem although. I had a lot of issues with text clipping in the shell (which looks like a direct copy of the original shell program).

We have a massive problem....

The GriefProtection plugin is not protecting any plots, including spawn. I have tired to reduse some resources being stole so i have stored 3d6's casino resources like the gold diamond etc. And the limited edition page 1 switch times. Just know i am not stealing it, im just trying to make sure people cant steal the stuff because theres alot of rare resources in there.

Yo, why am i banned for griefing. I never griefed anything.

Firstly, if there is a server issue such as this it is common decency to quietly tell a server administrator, less people that know about it will decrease problems significantly. If you had the slightest bit of common sense you would have realised that administrators can in fact roll back land, hence your poor attempt at helping is actually considered theft.

#256491 TechCorp 2.2: Survival of the... People who have the most money. Now with kit...

This is a neat idea, however it could be managed easier, you can expect a plethora of players if you provide a zip containing mods and their licenses, or a technic pack.

#255752 LUAC binary files and CC

Posted by クデル on 08 July 2016 - 09:43 AM in Ask a Pro

I have been fiddling with luac recently, and I decided to try and execute a binary file created by it using dofile, however it likes to just throw a Java Heap Space error. Am I misinformed, or this is impossible to do within CC?

#255747 [2019] [1.12.2] [Survival] LurCraft : We're back, and better than ever!

Might jump on for a while when this comes back up, been looking for a new server.

I would recommend SwitchCraft, it usually always has a minimum of three-four players, and barely any downtime compared to other servers.

#255710 Checking how much memory is used

Posted by クデル on 07 July 2016 - 12:55 PM in Ask a Pro

Thank you BB & LBP, despite converting to Lua I think I'm just going to stick with adding tracking code, my only concern is if this would be intensive with "large" programs? I doubt it would be, but I just want to make sure. :)
